Dog Parva Virus is a highly contagious, completely virulent, durable, resistant, and highly lethal viral disease.
It takes one to two weeks for symptoms to appear in the animal and its symptoms are visible in the stool.
Common symptoms of Parva virus include:
1: Lethargic
2: Severe vomiting
3:Appetite water
4:bloody diarrhea
5:Bad Breath
6:Animal dehydration
Parva virus is highly contagious and can be transmitted by any person, animal or object that comes into contact with infected dog feces.
The virus can survive in inanimate objects such as food bowls, shoes, clothes and rugs.
Parva virus does not threaten puppies because puppies receive antibodies from the mother’s milk and rarely get infected for up to 1 to 2 weeks if infected, but become infected as soon as the antibody has expired.
Since Parva virus is a serious disease it is not recommended to be treated at home and even with the best veterinary care it is often fatal.
